As the 2025 farming seasons set in, Senator representing Adamawa Senatorial zone, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, has kicked off the distribution of farming inputs to local and vulnerable farmers in his zone, with 810 bags of fertilizer, 450 cartons of herbicides and other farm inputs.
This project was sponsored by Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, and empowered by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in conjunction with Focus Stability Limited (Lot G40z/2025.
The distribution exercise of the bags of fertilizer (50kg) and cartons of herbicides to the nine LGAs representatives for onward distribution, was held at Mayo-Belwa LGA last weekend, under the supervision of Mr Katawan Boniface.
New Nigerian reports that the farmers were selected from the nine local government areas that constitute the Southern zone.
Addressing pressmen shortly after the distribution exercise, Mr Katawan Boniface, the Director-General Binos Campaign Team, disclosed that 810 bags of fertilizer and 450 cartoons of herbicides were distributed, with each of the 9 LGA receiving 90 bags of fertilizer and 50 cartoons of herbicides.
He maintained that effective mechanisms were put in place to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution process, noting that only vulnerable farmers benefited from the exercise.
“The farmers have been selected from various political parties and different backgrounds. Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe is the Senator for the whole people of Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, and he ensures his constituents benefit from his programmes and enjoy the dividends of democracy irrespective of their political or ethnic backgrounds.
“This is the first batch of the distribution for this rainy season.l We believe that these farm inpkuts will go a long way in helping the local farmers”, he pointed llout.

The DG Binos campaign team maintained that his principal is committed and determined to ensuring farmers in Adamawa Southern Senatorial District are empowered to enable them enhance farming activities in the District.
He revealed, “We intend to reach out to 50 farmers per Ward. In Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, there are 93 Wards. If you multiple 93 by 50, you will realize that about 4,650 farmers will benefit. This is huge”.
While calling on the benefiting farmers to use the farm inputs for the purpose intended, Katawan assured the people of Adamawa South that more people-oriented programmes to boost agricultural activities are underway for the benefit of farmers and betterment of the society.
Also speaking, Mal. Usman Inuwa, a friend of Senator Binos expressed gratitude to the Senator for prompt distribution of farm inputs to farmers across the Adamawa South Nine LGAs.
He described Binos as someone who has the interest of his constituents at heart.
Mr Raymond Robinson, Binos Team Coordinator for Guyuk LGA, told journalists that the event was the first distribution exercise to be carried out by Senator for the benefit of farmers as the rainy season unfolds.
“We have selected beneficiaries from each Ward, from different political parties. Those who benefitted from the previous distributions may not benefit this time. It is a deliberate decision because we want the distribution to go round.
On his part, Hon. Gibson Ma’aji, representative of Lamurde LGA, said that Senator Binos tasked them to be fair and just in the distribution process, noting that transparency was the watchword.
Representatives of the other LGAs, who interacted with journalists, assured Senator Binos Yaroe of transparency and accountability in the distribution process, calling on the benefiting farmers to use the farm items for the purpose intended.
