As political alignments begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Tinubu-Uba Leadership Network (TULN), a grassroots mobilisation forum, has called on the North West to rally solidly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, in what it described as a mission to safeguard the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The call was made during a strategic visit by the TULN leadership to elder statesman and political figure, Hon. Sani Mohammad Sha’aban, at his Zaria residence on Sunday, where key stakeholders discussed the need for regional unity and political continuity.
Speaking during the visit, the National Coordinator of TULN, Hon. (Dr.) Victor Mathew Bobai, and Secretary General, Charity Alex said that the 2027 elections must not be left to chance, stressing that President Tinubu’s developmental strides, particularly in the North West, are tangible indicators of purposeful governance.
“Continuity is not a slogan, it is a national necessity,” Bobai said, citing federal projects such as the establishment of the Federal University of Education and the Federal School of Nursing in Zaria, as well as proposed institutions in Southern Kaduna, as milestones that require consolidation.
He added that the appointment of General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff further reinforces the president’s commitment to national security and Northern stability.
According to him, Governor Uba Sani’s role in coordinating APC’s political base in the North West has become indispensable, describing the Kaduna State helmsman as a bridge between the presidency and grassroots leadership.
“Kaduna has become a political laboratory of national unity. Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive policies and support for the poor have not only repositioned the state but established him as the natural mobiliser for the president’s re-election,” Bobai stated.
On his part, Hon. Sha’aban lauded the efforts of the TULN and offered his full support to their vision. He also endorsed the leadership of Hon. Victor Bobai, describing him as a grounded strategist with the moral and intellectual capacity to steer the forum toward national relevance.
“You have every reason to believe in the tutelage and leadership of Hon. Victor Mathew Bobai. In this journey, follow who know road,” the elder statesman declared, amid laughter and applause.
He further assured the delegation of his intention to brief both President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani on the activities of the forum, noting that TULN’s objectives align with the broader goals of the Renewed Hope administration.
The group, which also reiterated plans to expand its reach across all 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, said it is committed to ensuring that the North West remains the stronghold of progressive governance beyond 2027.
TULN’s leadership maintained that its engagement in Zaria marks the beginning of an aggressive mobilisation strategy to consolidate President Tinubu’s mandate and defend Governor Uba Sani’s developmental legacy in Kaduna and beyond.
“The future belongs to visionaries, not opportunists. This is the time to stand firm,” the group said.
