The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association, Kaduna Branch, on Saturday successfully conducted its election and inauguration of a new executive committee to pilot the affairs of the branch which took place at Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation office Kaduna.

This was contained in a statement signed by its Secretary, Hadiza Bello Abdullahi, made available on Saturday.

The election, which was conducted under a transparent and credible process, was chaired by the association’s National Treasurer, Dr. Haruna Muhammad Jumare, who served as chairman of the electoral committee, with Barr. Bashir Abdullahi as Secretary.

At the end of the exercise, the following members emerged victorious and were returned elected: Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar (Chairman), Prof. Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu (Vice Chairman),
Hadiza Bello Abdullahi (Secretary),
Umar Bala Babayaro (Assistant Secretary), Dr. Dina Amira Isa (Financial Secretary) and Jamila Asabe Adamu (Publicity and Social Officer(.

Following their emergence, the newly elected officials were administered the Oath of Office by Barr. M.T. Mohammed, officially marking the commencement of their tenure.

The newly inaugurated Chairman, Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar who is also the Director General of Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation and the Vice Chairman, Prof. Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu, Executive Secretary at National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-formal Education also former Director of Arewa House, congratulated the new executive and charged them to uphold the values, vision, and mission of the association while fostering unity and development among members.
