As part of plans to make Adamawa United FC house hold name in Nigeria, a renowned philanthropist, politician and sports enthusiast, Chief Dr. Maurice Vunobolki, has donated football training kits worth over ₦10 million to the club.

Chief Vunobulki while presenting the football kits to Adamawa United FC at the club training ground, said this gesture to spur the team for greater heights in Nigeria football circle.

” I believe you guys can get promoted back to NPLF, l have confidence in the management of the club, I know them, and I trust in their ability to bring back the glory”

He advised both players and management to be serious and discipline in the discharged of the duties stressing that sports is all about performance.

Adamawa United FC Secretary, Dr. Yusuf Chidama, while receiving the donation, thanked Chief Vunobolki for these gift and promised that it will always remind the team of Chief Vunobolki’s dreams for the team.

Dr. Chidama noted that Vunobolki has been a consistent pillar of support to the club, “this is not the first time he has stepped forward, he was instrumental in ensuring our home games were hosted at Makwada Square in Numan, which also serves as a hub for the Nigeria Women Football League and the National League.”

He added that the donation is a wake-up call and will set a new standard for community and private sector involvement in sports development.

Team Manager, Barr. Ijamul Emmanuel Tsamdu who also commented, described the gesture as “a historic moment for the club” that the management and players will not forget.

He states that what Chief Vunobolki has done goes beyond material donation, he has injected belief, dignity, and renewed motivation into the team.

Tsamdu commended Chief Vunobolki’s unwavering commitment to sports, describing him as “a charismatic leader.”

Adamawa United is currently playing in the Nigeria National League (NNL) and are pushing to secure promotion to Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Some supporters of the club who some with this paper said the donation is strategic, stressing that the equipment will spour the players to greater heights in NNL.

The items donated includes 8 full sets of jerseys, 40 boundary poles, agility ladders, shin guards, corner flags, gloves, socks, and 12 match balls, among others.

Beyond the NPFL, club officials are confident that this boost will enhance their competitive edge in continental tournaments, as Adamawa United continues to dream big eyeing qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup in the near future.

As Adamawa United continues its journey in the NPFL, the donation provides both tangible assets and psychological inspiration, positioning the club for stronger league performances and continental visibility.
