The New Heritage Baptist Church (NHBC), Eniosa, Ibadan on Sunday, congratulated Otunba Rotimi Ajanaku, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ajanaku Holdings on his 50th birthday.

NHBC in a statement jointly signed by the Undershepherd of the church, Reverend Philemon Ajide, and its Secretary, Mr. Segun Adeniran, described Otunba Ajanaku as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged and a shining example of humility in leadership.

The church extolled Otunba Ajanaku’s virtues, praising his consistency in service to God and humanity over the years.

“We, the entire members of New Heritage Baptist Church, gladly rejoice with you on your golden jubilee and give glory to God for granting you the grace to reach this landmark,” it said.

NHBC added, “ You are a rare creation who has devoted much of your life to lifting people across divides, serving humanity without discrimination of any kind.”

The church highlighted Ajanaku’s humility as one of his most striking qualities, saying despite his achievements, he has remained approachable and respectful.

“Your humility is exemplary. Even when assisting and empowering people, you do it with grace and respect. Though the tides of politics have not always tilted in your favour, you never allowed disappointments to dampen your spirit or derail your mission of touching lives positively,” the statement continued.

Describing Otunba Ajanaku as a different breed of Nigerian politician, one who shuns desperation, blackmail, and the toxic “do-or-die” politics often associated with the nation’s political class. Instead, the church emphasized, Ajanaku has carved a reputation for peaceful politics and people-centred philanthropy.

Citing the examples of his benevolence abound, the church recalled how Otunba Ajanaku has frequently distributed food items, including rice and other essentials, not just within his political constituency but also extending his generosity to neighbouring local governments such as Akinyele and Lagelu.

The Baptist congregation also revisited its earlier recognition of Ajanaku’s service, reminding the public that he was among the select recipients of the maiden Father Abraham Distinguished Award in 2019, given in commemoration of the United Nations’ International Father’s Day. More recently, in 2025, he was conferred with the rare honour of Fellow of the Father Abraham Distinguished Award, cementing his status as one of the nation’s most outstanding benefactors.

“The Church of God has no regrets associating with you,” the statement affirmed. “You have never withdrawn your hand of fellowship from the work of God or from supporting humanity. Your life continues to inspire, and your new age is loaded with divine prosperity, favour, and protection. We pray you and your family will continue to enjoy unending grace, mercy, and blessings in Jesus’ name.

” As family, friends, political allies, and business associates gather to celebrate his golden jubilee, the glowing tribute from NHBC stands as a testament to the enduring impact of a man many regard as one of Ibadan’s finest gifts to humanity.”
