The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated its candidates who emerged victorious in the just-concluded by-elections held on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Hon. Fidelix Bagudu (Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency), Hon. Isa Haruna Muhammed (Zaria Kewaye State Constituency), and Hon. Dahiru Umar-Sani (Basawa State Constituency) all won their respective contests under the APC banner.
In a statement signed by the State Secretary, Yahaya Baba Pate, the party described the victories as more than electoral success, noting that they symbolize the people’s trust in the progressive ideals of the APC, President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive governance style.
“These victories are eloquent affirmations of the people’s steadfast faith in our party. They reflect the enduring resonance of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the people-centered leadership of Governor Uba Sani, whose governance continues to redefine participatory democracy in Kaduna State,” the statement read.
The APC highlighted that winning the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency — long considered an opposition stronghold for over two decades — demonstrates growing public confidence in Governor Sani’s bridge-building leadership, which prioritizes unity, equity, and development beyond partisan or ethnic divides.
The party also commended Governor Sani’s achievements in security, rural infrastructure, and human capital development, adding that his inclusive approach has brought marginalized voices into the heart of governance.
The APC expressed gratitude to the electorate for their overwhelming support, assuring that the newly elected lawmakers would provide purposeful, transparent, and responsive representation.
“As ambassadors of the people’s shared aspirations, our lawmakers will not only serve their constituencies but will also advance the collective vision of peace, prosperity, and inclusive growth for Kaduna and Nigeria,” the party assured.
The statement further reaffirmed the APC’s commitment at both federal and state levels to building a more equitable and secure society under the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.
The party called on citizens to continue their support and prayers, pledging to work towards a Kaduna and Nigeria that works for all.
