A faith based private university, Ave Maria University, Piyanko , Karshi Road, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, is now set to commence admission of students in the the Faculty of Medicine and Law in the 2025/2026 academic session.
As part of efforts to fulfill the requirements set up by the Federal Ministry of Health and Dental and Health Council of Nigeria, the University played host to a team from the Federal Ministry of Health led by Dr. Jimoh Salaudan.
New Nigerian Newspapers gathered that Dr Salaudan was accompanied by other directors on the tour of medical facilities procured by the University management preparatory for the commencement of programmes in the Faculty of Medicine.
The team which was received by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Ignatius Onimawo, was later joined by the Pro-Chancellor Mrs Eucharia Onah and other Staff including Dr. Omale who is the Director of Linkages.
Earlier before departure, members of the team gave an interim report expressing satisfaction with the quality of infrastructure, staff and facilities put on ground, promised to convey their report to the Honourable Minister of Health and Human Services whom they were optimistic will act positively.
