Bichi LGA Renovating Schools, Hospitals For Quality Education, Healthcare Delivery – Council Boss

As part of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration’s efforts to boost education and healthcare delivery services, Bichi Local Government Council has successfully renovated classroom blocks and healthcare facilities across the local government area.

The council Chairman, Alhaji Hamza Sule Mai Fata, stated this when senior officials of the state’s ministry of rural and community development paid him a courtesy call as part of the ministry’s familiarization tour to the local government areas across the state.

Mai Fata disclosed that the local government has successfully renovated numerous schools and hospitals, in addition to providing teaching and learning materials as well as essential equipment required at the rehabilitated health facilities.

He added that all 11 wards within the local government area benefitted from the renovation of two to three schools per ward, with the full support of the state government and under the supervision of each ward councilor.

He added that 33 schools have been renovated across the local government area.

He further disclosed that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf directed all 44 local government chairmen across the state to compile a list of all dilapidated schools in their areas to ensure comprehensive rehabilitation as necessary.

Among the hospitals already renovated by the local government council, are those in Damargu, Kwamarawa, and Tudun-Wulli while renovation work is ongoing at four other facilities.

Earlier, in his speech, the Commissioner of the Ministry for Rural Development and Community Advancement, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdus-Salam, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Musbahu Badawi Maigari, said Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf instructed the ministry to tour various local governments in the state to meet with village heads, ward heads, and community leaders.

The aim is to identify the challenges people are facing and determine their needs, thereby enabling the government to better understand and respond to their situation.

In his remarks, the District Head of Bichi and Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Mannir Sanusi, delivered an extensive speech highlighting the various development initiatives undertaken by His Highness, the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, particularly those aimed at improving the welfare of his people and ensuring justice and dignity within the community.

The gathering was attended by village heads, ward heads, and Imams from across Bichi Local Government area respectively.
