A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rev. Dr. Benjamin Mamman, has joined in celebrating with the Muslim Ummah In Kaduna State and around the world on the celebration of the Eid-el-Maulud.
He tasked Muslims on the need to emulate the exemplary virtues of the holy prophet Muhammed SAW for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
In his congratulatory message on Friday, Rev. Dr. Mamman said that the Holy Prophet’s life on earth exemplifies the virtues of peace, love and patience which are necessary virtues for us to emulate in peaceful cohabitation, particularly in a diverse state and nation like ours.
Rev. Dr. Mamman who was an Officer in-charge, Fire and Safety with Julius Berger, enjoined every Nigerians to take their destinies in their hand and choose leaders that will turn around the fortunes of our dear state and the country for the better in the 2027 elections.
In the statement he further said that in the coming years, Nigerians and the good people of Kaduna state will be marking historic” decision that will shape the future of the country, hence the need to join hands in the task to rescue, unify, reposition and rebuild the Nigeria of our dreams where everyone will live in peace and harmony irrespective of faith, creed, tribe or political affiliation.
He also urged Muslims to dedicate the Maulud holiday to praying for the country and showing empathy and compassion toward one another.
” No doubt that Nigerians are experiencing though economic situation, and this is the reason why we must all ensure that our dear country and state recover from the woes.
“In the spirit of love, I joined Muslims all over the world to mark this year Eid-el-Maulud, the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
This is just as Rev. Dr. Mamman emphasized that the Eid-el-Maulud is a symbolic moment, adding that Muslims should take cognizance of the noble example of the day.
Eid-el-Maulud, an observation of the day when the Islamic prophet Muhammad is reported to have been born, is commemorated in Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.
