Emir Of Katsina Demands Concerted Efforts Towards Restoring Lost Glory Of Northern Nigeria

Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman has reiterated the need for more concerted effort towards restoring lost glory of Northern Nigeria.

Alhaji Kabir Usman stated this while receiving Executive Officers of Katsina State Chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), led by its Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Musa Malumfashi on a courtesy visit.

Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman advised stakeholders to be proactive in restoring good image of Northerners in the area of peaceful coexistence, education, agriculture and other sectors of human endeavours.

He expressed delight over the formation of Katsina State Chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum to contribute towards addressing the challenges affecting people in the region.

The Emir who described the forum as part and parcel of Katsina Emirate, charged the executive to strive hard in coming up with initiatives aimed at enhancing unity and development among people.

“My doors will remain open to you for consultation on the way forward as your activities are purely service to Humanity,” he emphasised.

He promised to provide an office accommodation to the forum in Katsina to discharge its activities effectively.

Speaking earlier, Chairman of Katsina State Chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum Alhaji Shehu Musa Malumfashi said that essence of the visit was to introduce themselves as newly elected Executives of the forum in the State and to seek for fatherly advice from the Royal father.

Alhaji Musa Malumfashi said the ACF Katsina State Chapter was formed in 2024 with leaders on Acting capacity and in the last three months they were elected as new officials.

He disclosed that, part of the activities of the forum was to create awareness to people on various issues of National concern through consultations for overall development of the Northern states.

He said the forum has recently sponsored some children for surgery on typhoid fever at Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Katsina, procured medication for distribution to health facilities and produced jingles on impact of voter registration exercise.

“We are soliciting for an office accommodation to the forum by Katsina Emirate Council to enable us function effectively, your highness,” The Katsina ACF, Chairman requested.

Also speaking, Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Danwairen Katsina, Alhaji Sada Salisu Rumah said the forum has over four Hundred (400) People with prominent personalities as members.

Danwairen Katsina, Alhaji Sada Salisu Rumah who spoke at length on motives of the forum, appreciated the commitment of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman towards ensuring actualization of the state chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum.
