Traditional rulers have been urged to bring their wealth of experience to bear towards enhancing the security and development of the country.

Speaking in Kaduna on Friday at the coronation ceremony of Dr Ruya Tambaya Fadason as the Waziri Gbagyi, the Esu Chikun, Mr Ishaku Yari, said now is the time people vested with responsibilities in the country need to practice it for the overall interest of Nigerians.

According to Yari, “Those vested with responsibilities of service should bring their wealth of experience to bear to ensure rapid development and the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.

He assured that his people are ready to work with the government at all levels of government towards ensuring the development of the country, saying that it is high time for Nigerians to come together as a family to unite and fight for its progress.

The new Wazirin of Gbagyi, Dr Ruya Tambaya Fadason assured of his readiness to bring his wealth of experience to bear towards uplifting the standards of living of the people in all sphere of life.

According to him, “Anything that will unite and ensure the development of the people will be pursued with every sense of responsibility so that together we shall help in living a purposeful life.”

Dr. Ruya Tambaya Fadason, a distinguished son of the Gbagyi land, was born on the 12th day of May 1960 in Kujama of Chikun LGA from where he was unanimously endorsed by the six ruling houses and later presented to the Gbagyi Traditional Council as the Waziri designate.

Fadason is a preeminent figure in the Nigerian and international construction industry, with a career spanning over three decades.

A distinguished Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) and a Member of the Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE), amongst many others.

He is the Managing Partner and CEO of Rutfa Quantz Consultants Ltd.

His professional expertise has been instrumental in the successful delivery of construction projects valued at over fifteen billion Naira (N15bn), encompassing critical infrastructure such as stadia, hospitals, high courts, and educational institutions across the nation.

His influence extends beyond Nigeria, serving as the Vice Chairman (Representing Africa) for the Standard Setting Committee of the International Cost Management Standards (ICMS).

He is also an accomplished academic, having served as a Senior Lecturer and an External Examiner at several polytechnics, shaping the minds of future professionals.

A man of deep knowledge and unwavering integrity, Fadason has held numerous leadership positions, including Treasurer and National Executive Council Member of the NIQS, where he championed the development of standards and cost management practices for the industry.

He is a man rooted in his faith and culture, fluently speaking his native Gbagyi language, alongside Hausa and English.

His simple lifestyle reflects the Christian faith and character of charity and sacrifice.

Ruya Fadason lives an exemplary life of hard work, community service, and excellence.

He is the author of the Let’s Pray Together, a popular daily Christian devotional.

QS Ruya Fadason is married to Mary Kpajeshi Fadason and the union is blessed with children.

It is expected that the new Waziri will bring his wealth of wisdom, extensive administrative experience, and profound dedication to communal progress to the revered office of Wazirin Gbagyi and as the Chairman of the Kingmakers and Chief Advisor to the Sa Gbagyi.
