The immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, Hajiya Asma’u Yawo Halilu, has lost her mother at the age of 82.

The mother of the former NUJ chairperson, late Hajiya Fatima Sa’eed Usman died on Monday at about 8:30pm in her residence at Unguwar Rimi Kaduna State.

The deceased died, leaving behind 6 children amongst whom is the NUJ former Chairman of the Kaduna State Council.

She has since be buried according to Islamic rite’s at the Unguwar Rimi Muslims cemetery around 2:00pm on Tuesday after her Jana’iza prayer at Misbahu Mosque after Zuhur prayer.

During her funeral, roll of prominent figures were in attendance, including family members, friends and journalists from various media houses in the state.
