To cushion the impact of the 2025 flood that destroyed farmland and properties worth millions of Naira, the Executive Chairperson of Fufore Local Government Council, Hon. Peace Samson Audu, has embarked on distributing relief materials to affected communities.

The chairperson expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support to the people of Fufore in this time of need.

She disclosed that the relief package was provided by the State government through the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA).

“We are grateful to our governor and father, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his continued support to the people of Fufore,” she said.

“Thank you for making it a priority to assist flood victims in Fufore and other LGAs in the state.”

Audu commiserated with affected victims and cautioned them against building structures on waterways and dumping refuse into drainages.

She advised communities on the lower plane to move to higher land for the safety of lives and property.

The Chairperson, however, urged beneficiaries not to sell the relief assistance they received.

Beneficiaries who spoke to our correspondent, appreciated Governor Fintiri and the Chairperson for their intervention and support.

Abubakar Audu and Aishatu Usman expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Governor Fintiri for the relief materials received, and praised Audu for her timely intervention and commitment to the welfare of her constituents.

New Nigerian reports that communities affected by the flood in Fufore include Ribadu, Gurin, Mayoine, Beti, and Wurobokki
