Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed deep sadness over the death of an Islamic scholar and Chief Imam of AG Dalibi Juma’at Mosque, Sheikh Umar Bojude, who passed away earlier today in Gombe.

In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the late Sheikh Umar Bojude as a remarkable Islamic cleric and a strong pillar of the Tijjaniyya order, who dedicated his entire life to the worship of Allah and the spiritual guidance of the people.

A statement signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that he noted Sheikh Umar Bojude’s impact on the hearts of his congregation, Jankai community and the state in general.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya extended his deepest sympathies to the immediate family of the deceased, members of Fiyanul Islam, the Tijjaniyya community and the Muslim faithful across the state and beyond.

He prayed Almighty Allah to shower His infinite mercy upon the soul of Sheikh Umar Bojude, forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannat Firdaus.
