Governor Uba Sani has appointed Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki as the new Commissioner of Information for Kaduna State, following the resignation of Professor Muhammad Sani Bello from the position.
This development was announced in an official statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Ibraheem Musa.
The statement confirmed that Professor Bello, who also served as the pioneer Commissioner of Education under the current administration, has been relieved of his duties as both Commissioner of Information and member of the State Executive Council.
Alhaji Maiyaki, who until his appointment was the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), is expected to bring his extensive experience in public communication and media management to bear in his new role.
Governor Sani, in the statement, expressed appreciation for Professor Bello’s contributions to the administration and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Maiyaki’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster the state government’s information dissemination efforts as it continues to implement key policy initiatives.
