Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, on Monday, visited Gwoza Local Government Area in Southern Borno, where he commissioned and flagged off a series of developmental projects aimed at improving education, healthcare, commerce, and community life.

Among the key projects commissioned, were the College of Nursing, Gwoza, Teachers’ Quarters, Lock-up Shops and Market Stalls, Gwoza Women Centre, and the Local Government Shopping Complex. The Governor also laid the foundation stone for the Gwoza Central Mosque and commissioned the Federal College of Education (FCE) Staff Quarters.

During the visit, Governor Zulum, accompanied by top government officials, paid a homage visit to the Emir of Gwoza, where he assured the Emir and residents of continued government support and further developmental interventions in the area.

The Governor was joined by key political leaders and stakeholders, including the Deputy Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Musa Askira, APC State Chairman, Hon. Bello Ayuba, Member, House of Representatives, Engr. Bukar Talba, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijjani, Head of Service , Mohammed Aminu Ghlunleze, Acting Chief of Staff, Engr Mustapha Mallumbe, members of house of assembly, Commissioners, APC State Women Leader, Special Advisers, and Senior Technical Assistants.

Also in attendance, were the Senator representing Borno South, Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume, and Member House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmad Usman Jaha, among others.
