A total of forty one police officers from Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency have successfully passed out at the Nigeria Police Training College Jos the police training center in Plateau State, courtesy of gesture and assistance of the lawmaker representing the the area at the national assembly Abuja.
Honourable Jafaru Ciroma who was represented at the the ceremony by his Senior Legislative Aide, Sirajedeen Bala Gassol, emphasised the need for a viral security apparatus in the constituency.
It was a spectacular display of precision, pride, and promise, as the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, presided over the Passing Out Parade of newly trained recruit constables, a historic ceremony marking the formal induction of thousands of young officers into the Nigeria Police Force
The Inspector-General, who was ably represented by the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, delivered an inspiring and reform-driven message that captivated both the recruits and guests in attendance.
Speaking on behalf of the IGP, he commended the recruits for their courage, endurance, and unwavering commitment throughout months of rigorous training.
He described their successful completion as “a testament to the new spirit of discipline and professionalism driving the Nigeria Police Force under the current administration.”
Egbetokun’s message, articulated through his representative, underscored that the recruitment and training exercise formed part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s comprehensive security sector reform agenda, aimed at repositioning the Nigeria Police for effective service delivery and enhanced national security.
CP Adesina conveyed the IGP’s charge that the recruits must see their new roles not as a privilege or position of power, but as a sacred call to serve the Nigerian people with loyalty, integrity, and compassion.
“The uniform you wear today is not for intimidation or self-gain,” CP Adesina declared on behalf of the IGP.
“It symbolizes honour, discipline, and sacrifice, a pledge to defend justice and uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
With firm emphasis, he cautioned the new constables against corruption, misconduct, or abuse of authority, stressing that the Force would “not hesitate to sanction any officer who betrays public trust or the ethics of policing.”
The Police Commissioner, representing the IGP, also took the opportunity to commend the training commandants, instructors, and stakeholders whose tireless dedication ensured the exercise’s success.
He reaffirmed the force’s ongoing commitment to comprehensive police reforms, including welfare improvement, modern training infrastructure, and global-standard policing techniques designed to meet Nigeria’s evolving security challenges.
As the parade progressed, the atmosphere turned electric. The recruits, neatly lined in formation, their uniforms glistening in the golden sun, and boots thundering in rhythm, marched past with visible pride, as the Nigerian flag waved boldly overhead.
Families, dignitaries, and guests erupted in loud applause, capturing the emotion of the moment,a new chapter of hope, discipline, and renewal in the nation’s policing journey.
