A total of 42 graduates from the Police Secondary School Bashar, who graduated, have been charged by the Inspector General of Police (IGP’) Kayode Egbetokun to uphold high standard of discipline and serve as worthy ambassadors of the school wherever they go.

This was contained in a speech delivered on his behalf by the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina at the maiden graduation held recently.

The IGP called on the pioneer graduating students to always remember the teachings and training they received during the period they were in the school.

According to him, the country is now faced with series of security challenges which require dedication from all security personnel, including those graduating.

He expressed appreciation with the federal government for establishing the school in the state, saying that it will go a long way in dealing with the security situation in the country.

He said, the present administration is determined to end the current security situation which he noted, has made people to abandon their houses.

The inspector general also said that security personnel, including civilians must take the advantage of the school in creating new atmosphere where learning can be guaranteed.

On his part, the state Police Commissioner, Adesina who expressed joy over the symbolic transition, maintained that the command will continue to making the school a model in the country.

Commandant of the school, Bashir Sulaiman expressed appreciation over the successful completion of the academic exercise and the training given to the graduating students.

He thanked the federal government and the police authority for the continuous support to the school.

The commandant further called for the provision of infrastructural amenities and more classroom blocks for conducive leaning in the police oriented secondary school.

Dignitaries including the former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Idris Maje witnessed the occasion, where they expressed joy over the symbolic transition in the school.
