Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has declared Friday 27th June, 2025 as work – free day to commemorate the new Islamic Year,1447.
A statement issued by Director Press, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, said that Governor Radda urged People of the State to maintain peaceful coexistence and committed to Agricultural.
Signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Barrister Abdullah Garba Faskari, the statement emphasised that, the holiday would enable civil servants and residents to join other faithful in celebrating the year as well as reflect on its spiritual significance.
Consequently, the Governor extended his heartfelt congratulations to all Muslims in the state and across the country on witnessing the new Islamic Calendar.
He therefore, called on the People of the State to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another.stressing that,” no meaningful development could take place without peace and stability.”
Governor Dikko Radda reassured his administration’s commitment to deliver People oriented projects that, would improve their lives.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda reiterated his call on farmers and beneficiaries of government agricultural support to make judicious use of the fertilizers, tractors, and other farming implements distributed to enhance food security during the ongoing rainy season.
He warned farmers to desist from illegal encroachment of all cattle routes and forest as well as grazing reserves and prayed for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in Katsina State and the Country in general.
