Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency has been urged to stop the proliferation of expired products in stores and supermarkets in the state.

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council made the call at its July Congress which took place at its Secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday.

The Congress also tasked the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) “to be more alive to their responsibilities and shun the incessant arrests of motorists.”

In a communique issued at the end of the Congress, the journalists’ group commended the outgoing chairmen of local government councils that did well while also challenged the incoming ones to achieve satisfactory performance..

While deliberating on government-citizen relationship, the Congress urged the state government to take cognizance of the effects of its policies on residents.
