Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, has restated the administration’s unwavering commitment to peace-building, justice, and inclusion as core pillars of sustainable development under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani.

Dr. Balarabe made this known on Wednesday, when she received a delegation from the Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action (JISRA), led by its Country Coordinator, Mr. Jude Likita, during a courtesy visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.

She noted that Governor Uba Sani has made significant investments in peace-building through initiatives such as the Kaduna State Peace Commission, which continues to mediate conflicts and strengthen frameworks for reconciliation across communities.

“These interventions, along with grassroots engagement, have fostered trust and paved the way for a more secure and hopeful future,” the Deputy Governor said.

Commending JISRA for promoting peace, interfaith dialogue, and religious freedom both in Nigeria and globally, Dr. Balarabe described the organisation as “a true partner in the journey of peace-building.” She stressed that its activities align with Kaduna State’s vision of “a peaceful, just, and prosperous society where every citizen feels protected, valued, and included.”

“Your programs have advanced justice, inclusion, and respect for human dignity, contributing to the development of societies where differences serve as a source of strength for unity,” she added.

The Deputy Governor also highlighted JISRA’s efforts in bridging divides, empowering women and youth, and fostering interfaith cooperation, noting that such initiatives complement the government’s own peace-building programs.

“Together, we can consolidate the progress already achieved and ensure that peace, justice, and inclusion become permanent features of our state,” she affirmed.

Dr. Balarabe further assured that the Uba Sani administration will continue to recognize and respect citizens’ voices, the contributions of faith leaders, and the diversity of groups within Kaduna State.

“Under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, our administration remains firmly dedicated to promoting justice, protecting the rights of all citizens, and fostering inclusion as the foundation for peace and stability. These values are already yielding results, reflected in the relative calm, progress, and renewed confidence that our state is currently experiencing,” she stated.
