The Executive Chairman Kanam local Government Council ably represented by his Deputy Hon Aliyu S Ali led the delegation to Yelwan Garga for condolence to the bereaved families of those who were recently gunned to death in the village as a result of bandits invasion.
During the visit, the council expressed its heartfelt sympathy to the Yelwan Garga Palace and the affected families, describing the incident as painful and unfortunate.
The attack claimed the lives of two people, namely, Mal. Ahmad Suleman and Godwill Ali, popularly known as Doctor.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman, the Deputy Chairman assured the bereaved families of the council’s solidarity and support during this difficult time.
He noted that the Local government council remains committed to working closely with security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and properties of the citizens across the local government as the primary responsibility of every government as enshrined in the constitution.
As part of the condolence visit, the delegation also inspected the security post in the area, reaffirming the council’s determination to strengthen collaboration with security operatives to prevent future occurrences.
The delegation on the visit comprised of, Hon Aliyu s Ali Deputy Chairman Kanam Local Government Councill Tanko Adamu Adviser on Special Duties, Kabiru Muhammad Bawa Councilor for Revenue, Amadu Munkal Councillor Social Service, Adamu Muhammad Bello Councilor for Wash, Abdulmalik Gambo Councilor Jom Ward, Rafi’u Garba Councilor Kyaram Ward, Jamilu Ibrahim Councilor Mun Butbo, Aliyu Haruna Councilor Kyansar Ward, Hon Sahalu Garba Councilor Birbyang Ward and Security agencies, alongside some party officials.
The Kanam Local Government Council further called on residents to remain calm and united, urging community members to continue cooperating with security agencies in the fight against banditry and other forms of criminalities.
