People of DanMusa Local Government Area of Katsina State have expressed joy over return of peace following the peace deal reached few months ago between the government and the Fulanin Daji in the area.
The In-Charge of the Primary Healthcare in Yantumaki town, Malam Mukhtar Al Mustapha, Public Relations Officer of Miyetti Allah Association of Danmusa and some residents of the area made the expression while speaking to newsmen at Yantumaki and Dan Musa towns.
A resident Malam Garba Sada Mai Allo explained how people in the area were carrying out their daily activities peacefully in Mara, Mai Allo and other village areas.
He also expressed joy for the continuation of some ongoing community development projects initiated by the Katsina State government.
Malam Garba Sada Mai Allo expressed optimism that the peace deal brokered between the Government and the Fulanin Daji would yielded permanent peace in the area.
The In-Charge of the Primary Healthcare in Yantumaki town, Malam Mukhtar Al Mustapha, Public Relations Officer of Miyetti Allah Association of Danmusa were full of gratitude over the new development.
Meanwhile, Katsina State Government has been called upon to complete the construction of dam and water borehole projects in Danmusa Local Government Area.
The Chairman of the Dan Musa Youth Development Association, Comrade Saifullahi Kabir and Malam Abdulmutallib Dogon Gida made the call while speaking with newsmen in Dan Musa town.
According to him, the projects were abandoned during the previous administration due to security challenges in the area.
The concern citizens noted that when completed the projects would improve socio-economic activities of the area.
They called on the state government to pay compensation to remaining people whose farmlands were acquired for the dam projects.
It would be noted that Nigeria over a decade, has been fraught with inflation and monetary instability with attendant hardship.
