A son of a Monarch in downtown Egbe, Yagba West Local Government, Kogi State and one other have been quizzed for acting as informants and logistics suppliers to bandits whose activities have dotted the area in recent times.
According to an update on
“YAGBA WEST SECURITY”, Jeremiah Dada son of Oba Rotimi Dada of Ilemla, Egbe, was arrested having being labeled as the kingpin supplier of Indian hemp to bandits operating in the area.
His accomplice, Olumide Babawale is said to be the supplier of hard drugs to the bandits.
The duo, Jeremiah Dada and Olumide Babawale were both
apprehended by operatives of Yagba West Joint Security Squad.
“To the people of Kogi West, the end of the road for those notorious element is close by,” according to the update.
It would be recalled that the state governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo during his recent visit to troops in the area, promised hard times for bandits and their collaborators terrorising the state if apprehended.
Yagba West Local Government Area recently came under intense attacks by bandits who have killed six policemen, many residents and kidnapped others for ransom.
