The President/CEO of FUNAB Group of Companies, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia has been turbaned as DAN AMANA (Custodian of Trust) of Fune Emirate in Yobe State.

Ajia was turbaned on Saturday June 28, 2025 at the ceremony held at Emir Palace, Fune in Damagum local government of Yobe State with dignitaries in attendance.

Emir of Fune, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Saleh Ibn Uthman described Ajia as a trustworthy, honest, reliable and dependable personality who has written his name in gold for meritorious service to the nation and humanity.

The Emir recalled how the new Dan Amana as the Security Aide to former Yobe State Governor, facilitated smooth relationship and connection between the Emirate and government.

Saleh Ibn Uthman also hailed philanthropic gesture of Ajia to the vulnerable persons including widows, orphans and less privileged in the society.

According to him, Ibrahim Ajia is a patriotic and detribalised Nigerian.

“He always creates solutions to challenges using his network and diplomatic skills. It’s therefore not surprising to witness his steady progress in life even after retiring from Nigeria Police Force few years ago,” he said.

In his response, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia expressed deep gratitude to the Emir of Fune and the entire Emirate for the rare honour bestowed upon him.

“This is not just a title; it is a sacred trust. I will continue to work for the good of the Emirate, Yobe State, and our great country, Nigeria,” Ajia said.
