The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Sadiq Mamman Lagos, and Hon. Mohammed Gambo Zion, Executive Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government Area, have addressed the recent rumors alleging the sale of Yusuf Dantsoho Primary School in Kaduna North.

At a press conference at the school premises on Thursday, Mamman Lagos categorically refuted the claims, describing them as, “false, unfounded, and deliberately intended to mislead the public.”

He emphasized that the school is a historical institution and a valued public asset, assuring citizens that there are no plans to sell, demolish, or compromise its integrity.

“We want to assure the public that there is absolutely no intention to sell Yusuf Dantsoho Primary School or any other public educational facility.

“Anyone claiming ownership or alleging that the school has been sold should present valid documentation to support such claims” Lagos stated.

The commissioner reiterated the current administration’s commitment to protecting public institutions and ensuring access to quality education for all.

Zion corroborated Mamman Lagos’s statement, affirming that his office has no record or official communication regarding the sale of the school by any previous administration.

Mamman Lagos commended the parents, staff, and residents of Kaduna North for their vigilance and support, urging the public to disregard the baseless rumors and continue to support efforts aimed at strengthening educational infrastructure and preserving public assets.

The Kaduna State Government’s prompt response to the issue has been welcomed by the public, with many expressing appreciation for the government’s dedication to transparency and public welfare.

The Headmaster and staff of Yusuf Dantsoho Primary School also expressed gratitude to the government for standing in solidarity with the school’s management, staff, and parents during this challenging period.

“Governor Uba Sani administration has implemented several programs to enhance the learning environment, provide support to teachers, and ensure that every child has access to quality education” he added.
