Nwifuru, Umahi Mourn Uma Ukpai, Describe Him As A Man Of Exceptional Faith

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru and the Minister of Works, David Umahi have joined millions of Nigerians and the global Christian community to mourn the passing of Evangelist Dr. Uma Ukpai.

In tributes, hey described him as a renowned Evangelist who impacted generations with the gospel of Christ before his departure.

While the Minister of Works, David Umahi described him as a man of immovable faith, who has preached the gospel around the world and has touched many lives positively before going to be with the Lord.

According to the Governor, Evangelist Ukpai who passed on at 80 was a man of exceptional faith, divine wisdom, and uncommon commitment to the propagation of the gospel in not just Alaigbo, but the nation in general.

“Through his ministry and the founding of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, he raised generations of believers who continue to uphold the banner of Christ across the world.

“We in Ebonyi State remember with fondness his regular gospel crusades and revival campaigns held in different parts of our state — notably in Ezzangbo, Ohaukwu, Echara, Ikwo in 2016, Afikpo, and other Local Government Areas — where countless lives were transformed, the sick healed, and hope restored to many families through his Spirit-filled ministrations”, the Governor observed.

He said that Evangelist Ukpai’s message of faith, righteousness, and nation-building left indelible marks in the hearts of the people and contributed immensely to the moral and spiritual development of our society.

His departure has undoubtedly created a great vacuum in the body of Christ and in the nation at large, he lamented.
While the Minister of Works, David Umahi describes him as a man of immovable faith who has preached the gospel around the world for decades.And encouraged the family to take solace in the Lord, knowing fully well that the great gospel preacher is resting in the bossom of the Lord.

While extending his condolences to his immediate family, the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, the people of Abia State, and the entire Christian community, the Governor prayed that the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give all who mourn him the fortitude to bear this great loss.
