*Gov Makinde visits Oba Ladoja approves, approves nomination as 44th Olubadan

Barely 48 hours after his return to Ibadan, Oyo State Government has approved the nomination of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
New Nigerian learnt that Oba Ladoja is billed to have his coronation as the Olubadan of Ibadanland -designate on Friday, September 26, this year
The coronation ceremony is to hold on that day at the ancient Mapo Hall Ibadan.
According to sources, Gov Seyi Makinde early Wednesday morning, paid a visit to the Bodija residence of the Olubadan designate to welcome him back to Ibadan and as well congratulate the Olubadan designate on his nomination.
Also, it was gathered that towards working out the September 26 coronation for the new Olubadan, Oyo State Government delegation met with Oba Ladoja and other members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence on Wednesday.
Confirming the approval of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, the Media Aide to Oba Rashidi Ladoja, Chief Adeola Oloko said the Olubadan will be enthroned on Friday, September 26.
“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.” he said.
Chief Oloko added, ” the Coronation ceremony of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan.
New Nigerian recalls that Oba Ladoja who returned to Ibadan on Monday, held two hours closed door meeting with the Ibadan kingmakers on Tuesday at his private residence, Ondo Street, Old Bodija.
