Former Deputy Governor of Osun State and an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship hopeful in the state for the 2026 election, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Tuesday, declared that APC is ready for victory at the 2026 polls.
Senator Omisore said this while addressing in appreciation of his endorsement for the 2026 APC governorship ticket by over 300 ward chairmen and elected APC local government councillors in Osun State.
The APC governorship hopeful pointed out that the consensus endorsement by the over 300 ward chairmen and elected APC councillors stands as a clear signal of APC’s readiness for victory at the polls.
Senator Omisore maintained that since joining the governorship race, he had met with stakeholders across the nine federal constituencies in Osun state to intimate them of his ambition in the 2026 election.
He then tasked the ward executives and councillors to spread his message across the state ahead of the party primaries.
The APC governorship hopeful charged them to promote love and unity in their localities while rallying support for President Bola Tinubu.
APC Ward chairmen and other stakeholders at a different meeting held at Omisore’s campaign office in Osogbo, stressed that while all aspirants within the APC are qualified, Senator Omisore’s vast experience in administration and politics, both in Osun and beyond, would give the party a greater advantage.
Canvassing for the emergence of Senator Omisore as the APC consensus governorship candidate for the 2026 election, the ward Chairmen said they are convinced by the blueprint of the Omisore Agenda and promised to intensify grassroots consultations in his favour.
A former House of Representatives member, Ajibola Famurewa while speaking, described Senator Omisore as a reliable politician with the capacity to deliver victory for the party in next year’s election. He urged the ward chairmen to step up their mobilization for Omisore.
Also, a former Commissioner for Education in the state, Engr Folorunsho Bamisayemi, assured the ward executives that Senator Omisore holds them in high esteem and would prioritize their welfare as well as the development of the state if elected.
