No fewer than 10,465 students of tertiary institutions cutting across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State have applied for the 2025 bursary award organised by the Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation in conjunction with the Tinubu Support Group.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Central Committee of the scholarship programme which spelt out both the registration and closing date periods.
The registration, according to the statement made available to the press, opened on August 1 and closed at midnight on August 31, 2025.
The committee said the next phase is slated to begin the sorting and screening process to transparently select 3,000 successful applicants, as promised by Senator Karimi at the launch of the programme.
The names of selected beneficiaries will be published after the screening exercise.
The committee urged applicants and the public to follow updates from the DSSK Media Team, assuring that the process will be transparent, fair, and accountable.
Earlier In July this year the foundation announced that 1,390 students from Kogi West Senatorial District, 1,000 from Kogi East, and 610 from Kogi Central in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria will benefit from the bursary scheme.
