The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) State Congress has been conducted in Kebbi State, which was described as a major development in Nigeria.
Our sources confirmed to us that the election was conducted in a fair and transparent manner among all the candidates who contested.
The PDP gubernatorial candidate in the last general election, General Aminu Bande, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and all security agencies for their efforts in ensuring the smooth conduct of the election.
General Bande also commended the PDP national leadership for their steadfast commitment to ensuring that the election process was not altered.
General Bande also called on all the party members who contested to increase their commitment to fully cooperate and support each other in moving forward towards a successful outcome.
The exercise was supervised by the Chairman of the Congress Committee, Dr. Mukhtar Muhammad Lugga, who is also the Chief of Staff at Zamfara State Government House.
Bashir Ibrahim Sakadadi, declared Alhaji Usman Bello Suru as the newly elected State Chairman alongside other officers.
Among them are: Alhaji Hussaini Abdullahi Raha (Vice Chairman),
Abubakar Bawa Kalgo (Secretary),
Alhaji Malami Dannyaro Gwansu (Treasurer), Mr. Iliya Tomo (Financial Secretary), Barr. Nura Bello (Legal Adviser), Alhaji Bello Makama Argungu (Auditor) and
Alhaji Sani Dododo (Publicity Secretary).
Others are, Hon. Garba Liman Boma ( Organizing Secretary),
Hajiya Rabiatu Bature (Women Leader), Abdullahi Muhammad Bunza (Youth Leader), alongside other assistant officers and ex-officio members from Kebbi North, Central, and South.
The newly elected executive was immediately sworn in, taking the oath of office before party members and dignitaries in attendance.
In his remarks, PDP leader in the state, General Aminu Muhammad Bande (rtd.), congratulated the winners, expressing confidence in the newly elected executive.
He stated: “I am optimistic that with this caliber of people, coupled with the support of our teeming members, PDP will stage a strong comeback in 2027, Insha Allah.”
in his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman on behalf of the new exco, thanked all those who contributed towards the success of the election, especially, the party leader and the electoral committee, while promising to operate an open door policy
