Peaceful Co-existence, Unity, Preservation Of Yoruba Traditions Should Be Promoted, Oba Ladoja Tells Yoruba Obas

*Receives Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa on courtesy visit

The Olubadan designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja at the weekend, tasked all traditional rulers in Yorubaland to make peaceful co-existence, unity, promotion and preservation of Yoruba culture and traditions their watch words

Oba Ladoja gave the task on Saturday, while receiving the Elerinmo of Erinmo – Ijesa Kingdom in Osun State, Oba Michael Adeyobiojo Odunayo Adeagbo Ajayi at his residence, Ondo street, Bodija, Ibadan.

The Olubadan designate maintained that Yoruba has rich cultural values that the whole world cherish and respect.

Oba Ladoja emphasized that nothing should be done to tanish the rich cultural values that the whole world cherish as well as the respect cultural heritages

Welcoming the Elerinmo of Erinmo and his entourage, Oba Ladoja expressed his gratitude to the monarch and the entire people of Erinmo Ijesa for the congratulatory visit

The Elerinmo of Erinmo while speaking described the emergence of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland as a testimony of devine providence

“With great Joy and heartfelt delight, I extend my warm congratulations on your ascension to the revered throne of Olubadan of Ibadanland” he said

Oba Ajayi added, ‘Your emergence is a testimony of devine providence, wisdom and the collective trust of the great people of Ibadanland,”

The Elerinmo prayed that as Olubadan Designate steps into the the exalted office, his reign will usher in greater peace, unity and development for Ibadanland and indeed for Yoruba land as whole

Stressing that the stool of Olubadan is of historical significance, Oba Ajayi further prayed that Oba Ladoja reign be marked with wisdom, long life, prosperity and countless achievements that will further uplift the heritage and dignity of the Yoruba race.
