Prof Olowo: A Shining Example Of Leadership Excellence

The Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria (NDYCN), has taken a significant step in acknowledging outstanding leadership in the academic sector by honouring Prof. Samuel Sunday Olowo, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, with a Distinguished Award of Excellence.

According to the group, the prestigious award is a testament to Prof. Olowo’s unwavering commitment to excellence and his profound impact on the university community.

It was made known in a statement by Comrade Ufuoma Victor Erharhine, President of the Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria.

“The award recognizes Prof. Olowo’s exceptional leadership qualities, his dedication to the welfare of both staff and students, and his tireless efforts in driving infrastructural development within the institution.

“His commitment to providing adequate security for students has created a safe and conducive learning environment, allowing students to focus on their academic pursuits without fear.

“One of Prof. Olowo’s most notable attributes is his student-friendly nature. He has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students, and his approachability has made him a beloved figure on campus.

“His ability to connect with students on a personal level has fostered a sense of community and belonging, which is crucial for academic success” Comrade Erharhine stated.

The Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria, in its citation, highlighted not only Prof. Olowo’s professional achievements but also his humble and detribalized lifestyle. Comrade Erharhine, expressed the Council’s admiration for Prof. Olowo’s achievements and called on the Governor of Edo State to appoint him as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma.

According to Comrade Erharhine, if Prof. Olowo has achieved so much as Acting Vice Chancellor, he would undoubtedly do even more if given the opportunity to lead the university in a substantive capacity.

“This call is a testament to the confidence that the Council has in Prof. Olowo’s leadership abilities and his vision for the university.
