Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial zone, has distributed 945 bags of grains to his constituents, to alleviate the suffering of his people affected by the recent flood disaster.
According to him, the distribution was necessitated by the need to support his constituents, especially in the wake of the flood disaster that affected many households.
Each of the nine local government areas in the district received 55 bags of maize and 50 bags of rice from the 495 bags of maize and 450 bags of rice.
The Senator’s initiative complements the National Emergency Management Agency’s (NEMA) relief efforts, which provided food and non-food items to flood victims in selected communities. NEMA’s relief materials included bags of maize, rice, spaghetti, and vegetable oil, among others.
New Nigerian reports that Senator Binos’ distribution is his fifth outreach to his constituents this year, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing the wellbeing and welfare of the people.
The Senator funded the grain distribution from his personal pockets, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of society benefit from the initiative.
Beneficiaries of the relief materials have expressed gratitude to NEMA and Senator Binos for their kindness and support during this critical time.
Representative of Demsa Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. (Mrs) Marilyn Danbabayi, described Senator Binos as a politician who has the interest of his constituents at heart, noting that the bags of grains would go a long way in enhancing and livelihoods of the masses across the 9 LGAs.
She pointed out that the most vulnerable in the society would be the targeted beneficiaries as instructed by the Senator, adding that effective mechanisms have been put in place for transparency in the distribution process.
Mr. Abubakar Usman, representative of Jada Local Government Area (LGA), said they would ensure those who benefited from the previous distributions would not benefit from this one.
Stressing that this is done to ensure the packages go round, targeting the most vulnerable in the area.
