Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has charged journalists to deepen collaboration with his administration, describing the media as a critical engine for driving the state’s development agenda.
Speaking during an interactive session at the T.Y Danjuma House, Government House, Jalingo, Kefas said precise, accurate and factual reporting remains indispensable to governance and public trust.
According to him; “As partners in progress, the media must help us communicate government policies clearly and truthfully to the people.”
Marking two years in office, the Governor reiterated that his administration was laying a strong foundation for a sustainable economy.
He revealed that a state master plan is being designed to serve as a long-term roadmap for both his government and future administrations.
Kefas also announced plans to tour all local government areas, engaging citizens directly to shape inclusive policies.
While thanking journalists for their support, he urged them to remain steadfast, uncompromising, and committed to factual reporting.
Media practitioners at the session commended his strides in transforming Taraba and called for more investment in critical infrastructure to match his development vision.
