‎All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains drawn from across Nigeria have expressed optimism of decisive victory in the Saturday bye-election in Ganye State Constituency.

‎The chieftains made the commitment during the grand finale of Ganye State bye-election rally on Thursday.

‎The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, 16th August, 2025 to conduct a bye-election following the death of Abdulmalik Jauro Musa, the member representing the constituency in Adamawa State house of assembly on 24th May, 2024.

‎Speaking during the rally, chairman of the national campaign council for Ganye constituency bye-election, who is also the chairman house committee on appropriation, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi told the crowd that before 10:00am on Saturday, APC will defeat the candidate of its main rival and the ruling party in the state Barr. Mohammed Buba Joda.

‎”We’re set to win this bye-election election 100% as we will never allow our candidate to be rigged during the election. We will defend our votes and ensure they are counted,” he said.

‎Reiterating the party’s commitment to ensure the completion of Ganye – Jada – Mbulo road, Bichi urged the people to ignore PDP’s blackmail suggesting that the project will be abandoned after the election.

‎”As the chairman of the appropriation committee I’m assuring you that the Ganye-Jada-Mbulo road will be completed in record time for the benefit of the teeming people. The FG will also ensure that Jabbi Lamba – Belel – Cameroon road is done. We’re a working government not deceivers,” he said.

‎He thanked president Bola Tinubu, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Sadiq Mohammed, Walin Ganye for the role they play in the success of the Ganye – Mbulo – Jada road project.

‎Also expressing optimism in the party’s victory, Sen Abubakar MoAllahyidi said Ganye people are 100 percent behind APC noting that the area is a known foothold of APC.

‎”We are going to emerge victors in the bye-election. Ganye constituency is a strong foothold of APC right from time. The people are 100 percent behind us. We shall win by at least 90% margin,” he said.

‎The minister of Livestock development, Idi Mukhtar Maiha who re-echoed the same sentiment noted that president Tinubu’s creation of the ministry of livestock development is a pointer to his love for Ganye people because it is one of the havens of livestock production in Nigeria.

‎He urged the people to come out en masse and endorsed the party on Saturday to reciprocate the love shown to them by the president.

‎Also assuring his party’s success in the election, the North East national Vice chairman of APC, Comrade Mustapha Salihu who formally received high profile defections into the party said the coming election is a settled issue as the people of Ganye are 100 percent behind his party.

‎He called on all party organs to give the new defectors equal rights and opportunities in the party like any other member of the party.

‎Ganye town has witnessed unprecedented influx of people and vehicular movement during the rally which was attended by thousands supporters of the party ahead of the Saturday bye-elction.
